Do you ever read something so many times that you skip right over a mistake, use “there” when you mean “their,” or misuse an apostrophe or comma?

Of course you have! We all have. It’s not the mistake that matters, it’s what you do next.

That’s where I come in.

I’m a native English speaker with extensive experience in writing, editing, and proofreading.

So, before you submit that final draft or post your work online, let’s talk. I want to ensure that your target audience notices your message, not your typos.

Services

I offer three services for clients: writing, editing, and proofreading.

Writing

I enjoy all types of writing so contact me and we can set up a time for a free consultation to discuss your specific needs.

Every project is unique, has its own level of complexity, and requires a different amount of work. Once I’ve reviewed your project, I’ll provide a customized proposal.

Editing

An editor prepares written material for submission or publication. There are different levels of editing; I specialize in copy editing.

Copy editors correct grammatical and spelling errors, suggest changes to improve flow and readability, eliminate redundancies, fix internal inconsistencies, and conduct basic fact-checking.

As with writing, all projects are unique and require different levels of work. Contact me for a free consultation so I can review your project and provide a customized proposal.

Proofreading

A proofreader is used after editing is complete to catch any typos that may have been missed. Proofreading is the last step in the editorial process.

Proofreaders are not editors. They review the final draft with a fresh pair of eyes in order to catch mistakes that readers too familiar with the material often miss.

If you request proofreading, I’ll check for spelling and grammar errors as well as formatting issues. I won’t rewrite sentences or suggest rewording.

Contact me for a free consultation. We’ll discuss options after I’ve looked over your material.
